Rachel Ferguson (Scotland) A background in classical and choral singing gives Rachel's voice a pure tone and flexibility which was applied to bands of myriad genres including trip-hop, funk and rock in her native Scotland, where she also worked as a drama and singing teacher for the Royal Deeside School of Theatre Arts. Moving to Japan in 2005, Rachel embarked upon various projects as a vocalist, writer and editor, including acting in a ten-minute spoof shopping-channel sketch which was shown at Budokan as part of pop group HY's 'Kamakura Amae' 2006 concert. In September 2007 she joined the ranks of NHK, taking up the position of TV NEWSCASTER for their foreign broadcast. Other recent jobs have included singing on the TVCMs for SUNTORY, FANCL, and JRA and providing voices for a new children's cartoon. Rachel also enjoys singing at live events, solo or as part of a band. Recent events have included an exclusive party for Mikimoto, and regular appearances at dining bars and clubs, and weddings.
